It is our pleasure to invite our honourable guests below to join the HKU Gear Up Startup Seed Fund & Incubation Programme – Launch Event and Showcase, kick-starting the journey of our winning start-ups.

2023 Highlight: Welcome Event – HKU DeepTech100

We are delighted to host the first meetup event for our DeepTech100 teams last Thursday. It was a great opportunity for us and our newly joined startups to network with each other and to build more meaningful relationships.   2023中國創新創業成果交易會（以下簡稱創交會）於11月17日至19日在廣州廣交會展館舉行。  在本次展會上，來自香港大學工程學院、中醫藥學院的兩大創新項目受邀參展。同時，兩位科研團隊代表亦受邀出席17日下午的路演環節，向公眾分享項目的科研成就與技術亮點。   參展項目01 泳池溺水偵測系統       香港獨聚慧眼科技有限公司 (HKUIT) CTO 張寶亨在路演環節分享   香港大學運動人工智能實驗室總監、電機電子工程系霍偉棟博士領導的團隊運用人工智能和深度學習分析影像，當有泳者在游泳池里溺水，本系統可以實時在出事地點附近的警報燈發出警報，救生員可以立即救援。   本科研項目已在初創公司「香港獨聚慧眼科技有限公司」(HKUIT) 中進一步探索科技成果市場化。香港獨聚慧眼科技有限公司是一家由香港大學電機電子工程系畢業生創立的前沿人工智能初創公司，利用計算機視覺和深度學習技術力量，打造先進模型和平台和開發創新產品，以滿足體育、健康、教育和安全等各種現實生活場景，同時確保為個人提供最大程度的保護。   02 運用中醫藥有效防治糖尿病視網膜病變   香港大學中醫藥學院院長馮奕斌教授帶領的科研團隊創新性地融合機器學習與生物學技術，深度探討中藥復方在治療疾病的核心活性化合物。以生薑黃連湯(GCF)治療糖尿病視網膜病變(DR)為案例，系統地挖掘了復方中的關鍵活性物質。   據悉，粵港澳大灣區創新成果專區等吸引了500多個項目參展，佔總展出項目的近四分之一。本屆創交會活動由中國科協、國家發展改革委、中國科學院、九三學社中央、廣東省人民政府、廣州市人民政府共同主辦。 Source: The University of Hong Kong, Technology Transfer Office

「前海粵港澳台青年創新創業大賽 2024」香港賽區
