iDendron Subsidy is to promote participation among HKU students in renowned international innovation and entrepreneurship competitions held in cities outside of Hong Kong.
Enrollment as a current full-time or part-time student in a degree programme at HKU.
A maximum of two participants per team.
Teams must have advanced to the later stages of a competition that requires in-person attendance, held in cities outside of Hong Kong.
The Reaching Out Award (ROA), which is granted on a competitive basis, aims to support students who need to travel out of Hong Kong to participate in activities such as exchange, overseas studies, internships, placements, field trips, service trips, conferences, competitions, etc
A student is only eligible to receive the ROA ONCE throughout his/her studies.
Unless otherwise approved, the ROA cannot be concurrently held with other enrichment scholarships or awards administered by the University.
The minimum CGPA requirement is 3.0. For research postgraduate students, recent supervision progress monitoring reports are required.
The Talent Development Scholarship (TDS), which is granted on a competitive basis, aims at giving recognition to students who have demonstrated achievements or talent in non-academic areas and provide support for these students to further develop their talent and potential.
The minimum CGPA requirement is 2.5. For research postgraduate students, recent supervision progress monitoring reports are required.
Applicants need to have received an award, with documentary proof, in a/an inter-institution, local, regional or national event within recent three years (from January 1, 2021 – present) in one of the following areas;
Sports and games;
Music and performing arts;
Culture, arts and design; or
Innovation, science and technology.
