Origin of HKU iDendron
With the generous support of the Azalea (1972) Endowment Fund and other strategic partners, HKU iDendron was established in 2017 to foster the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit, incubate early-stage start-ups, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and engage the community in supporting human endeavours and societal development.
“Dendron” means tree in Greek, and iDendron symbolises the “tree of innovations,” reflecting the vision of HKU’s entrepreneurship community hub to nurture entrepreneurial seeds and cultivate a thriving ecosystem.
HKU iDendron is expanding to multiple locations to support HKU entrepreneurs and ventures wherever they are.
