HKU Techno-Entrepreneurship Academy Grand Opening
香港大学青年科创学院开幕仪式
The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and the Qianhai Authority proudly announce the grand opening of the HKU Techno-Entrepreneurship Academy (TEA) in Shenzhen Qianhai. This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone in the strategic cooperation agreement signed between the two entities in 2022, which aims to foster innovation and technological advancement in the region.
Unveiled in May 2024, the HKU Techno-Entrepreneurship Academy embodies a shared vision for creating a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship centred around education and incubation. The Academy will provide services and support to young technology talents and scientists, nurturing projects in artificial intelligence, healthcare, new energy, and new materials. With distinctive technology training programs and themed accelerators that leverage the regional innovation ecosystems and HKU’s international network, TEA aims to serve as a new launchpad for disruptive innovations, facilitating both inbound and outbound expansion of young start-ups.
The formal opening ceremony is scheduled for 4 September 2024, featuring a day filled with celebration and learning. Distinguished guests, alumni, start-ups, investors, corporate partners, and government officials will participate in the festivities while HKU start-ups showcase their innovations.
香港大学（HKU）与前海管理局合作成立的香港大学青年科创学院（HKU TEA）将在深圳前海正式投入使用。这是双方自2022年签署战略合作协议以来的一个重要里程碑，旨在为大湾区的创业青年及科学家提供创新创业和技术转化相结合的创业平台。
香港大学青年科创学院于2024年5月宣布开始建设， 以科创教育和孵化为核心，承载着双方打造新型双创基地的共同愿景。 青创学院将为青年科技人才和科学家提供服务和支持，重点培育人工智能、医疗保健、新能源和新材料等领域的科技项目。凭借独具特色的科技培训计划和主题加速器、依托蓬勃的区域创新生态系统和香港大学广泛的国际网络，青创学院旨在成为颠覆性创新的起跑点，促进海内外初创企业跨境发展。
开幕仪式定于2024年9月4日举行，同期亦将举办丰富的科创交流及项目路演等活动。嘉宾、校友、初创企业、投资人、企业家和政府机构将齐聚一堂，港大初创团队也将展示他们的创新项目。

Adverse Weather Arrangements 恶劣天气安排
In the following situations:
a) Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 (or above) is hoisted; or
b) Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 is expected to be issued within two hours, as announced by the Hong Kong Observatory; or
c) “Extreme conditions” after super typhoons are in force (announced by the Government before the Hong Kong Observatory replaces Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 with Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3); or
d) Black Rainstorm Signal is in force,
The following arrangements will apply:
• If any of the warnings or announcements is hoisted or in force at or after 6:00 am, the ceremony will be cancelled automatically; and
• the opening event will be re-scheduled with the details to be informed as soon as possible.
If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 or below, or Red or Amber Rainstorm Signal is in force, the event will proceed as scheduled unless otherwise announced by the organiser.
如以下情况发生：
（a） 香港天文台发布八号热带气旋（或以上）警告信号；或
（b） 香港天文台预告将在两小时内发布八号热带气旋（或以上）警告信号；或
（c） 香港政府在香港天文台将八号热带气旋警告信号降为三号警告信号后后发布了 “极端情况”提示；或
（d） 黑色暴雨警告信号生效。
则恶劣天气安排将生效：
• 如以上警告或宣布在9月4日早上6:00时或之后生效，则活动将自动取消
• 开幕活动将会延期，相关详情将另行通知
如果三号或以下热带气旋警告信号，或红色或黄色暴雨信号生效，除非另行通知，活动将按计划进行。
