I am a UK-trained pharmacist. After working for a year at a Hong Kong pharmaceutical manufacturing company, I joined the HK Government Department of Health as a Pharmacist. I took early retirement in 2010 to take up legal studies. I was called to the Hong Kong Bar in 2017 and practised as a barrister for several months. I then returned to work as a pharmacist at Mekim, with a 2-year break in 2021/2023 during which I returned to the Department of Health to assist in COVID vaccination management.

CEO of HK Seeing Eye Dog Services since 2022, pioneering Animal Assisted Services in elderly care and correctional settings.

Alan Cheung is a serial entrepreneur and founded Grandion Group in 1996. In 2015, he launched TML (To Make Locally) in Hong Kong, a re-industrialisation initiative focused on innovative tech and smart supply chains. As an impact investor and venture builder, he co-created
21+ ventures across Smart Aging, MediTech, FinTech, EdTech, digital
marketing, and smart manufacturing.

Paul is former Dean of Engineering and Associate Vice-President (Research) before he retired from his full-time position in 2018. He is currently serving as Honorary Professor in EEE and in Computer Science. He was an early driver of innovation and entrepreneurship at HKU before his retirement, served as founding director of TTO, MD of Versitech, and started DreamCatchers, Entrepreneusrhip Academy and MedTech Hackathon at HKU. He is currently a member of the HK Federation of Youth Group Council and a few other volunteer position. He still teaches part-time in the School of Computing and Data Science at HKU, with over 400 students taking his courses.

Rebecca is a pioneering business entrepreneur turned serial social entrepreneur. She is Founding Chair of the Golden Age Foundation, a leading advocate for smart ageing in the Asia-Pacific, she empowers people aged 45+ through community care and healthy ageing.

With over 18 years in social innovation, she co-founded Education for Good, Ednovators, Dream Impact Hong Kong and B Lab (HK & Macau). She is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Hong Kong and serves on key advisory panels.

Her contributions earned awards including the 2021 Hong Kong Outstanding Active Ageing Women Award, Ten Outstanding Social Entrepreneurs in China 2024 and the Jessica Most Successful Women Award 2025.

Julian is the president of Kaleida Group, providing strategic advisory and management support to startups in hard tech. Prior to founding Kaleida Group, Julian was product operations director and chief of staff for Google Cloud Business Platform. Julian held multiple leadership roles in companies including Google, GE, and McKinsey. Julian holds an active CFA designation. He earned an MBA and a master’s in aerospace science from the University of Michigan. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in physics from the Hong Kong University.

Dr. Norman Sze currently serves as Partner Emeritus of Deloitte China and was just retired in 2025. Previously, he held the position of Vice Chair of Deloitte China. With over 35 years of experience in management consulting and accounting, Dr. Sze is a pioneer in China’s management consulting industry, having provided long-term services to numerous leading enterprises across various sectors in China. In recognition of his profound professional expertise and contributions to the industry, he was named “China’s Leader in Financial Consulting Services” by Euromoney magazine and was conferred the title of “Honorary Fellowship of the University of Hong Kong” by the University of Hong Kong.

Mr. Tai is the Chairman of The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council (NAAC), one of the leading social services organizations in Hong Kong.

He is a veteran journalist and the former Deputy Director of Broadcasting (Programme) of Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK). He graduated from the Faculty of Science of the University of Hong Kong in 1977. Mr. Tai is an active supporter of the educational and community services. He was a member of the HKU Council and the Court from 2015 to 2021.

Ms. Tam is a professional Town Planner for over 40 years. She ran a town planning consulting firm for some 15 years. She joined Urban Renewal Authority in 2006 and was the Managing Director when she left in 2015. She resumed her private practice afterwards and finally retired in 2024. She was the President of Hong Kong Institute of Planners (1995-1997) and has been active in public services.

Henry is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in technology, business strategy & operations, finance and investment. He is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Kapok Capital and Q Venture Partners, early stage VC firms that invests in deep tech startups globally.

I joined the Hong Kong Government upon graduation from HKU in 1975. Had held senior positions in various govt depts including Trade & Industry, Civil Service, Planning and Lands and ICAC. Also had 2 external postings as Head of the Economic & Trade Office in Singapore and the HKSARG Beijing Office. After retiring from the govt, I helped Mr. C.H. Tung in setting up Our Hong Kong Foundation and initiated MEET (Mainland Expeditions on Entrepreneurship and Technology), a program that helps young HK start-ups to build up their businesses through exchanges with their counterparts, officials and investors in the Mainland.

With over 20 years of strategic marketing and digital transformation leadership across Medtronic, Stryker, Merit Medical, and BIOTRONIK—managing product portfolios in cardiac rhythm management and vascular intervention throughout the Asia Pacific region—Elizabeth Wong now channels her deep MedTech expertise into mentoring the next generation of healthcare innovation leaders.

Yunlan Xu (Happy) is the General Manager of Global Education at Ruijie Networks, where she leads international expansion in smart education across Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Europe, and Latin America. A graduate of HKU’s MSc in Electronic Commerce and Internet Computing, she was recognized as HKX-Tech’s “Best Campus Ambassador” for driving innovation and student engagement during her studies.
