Event Details

This two-day programme, organised by Hong Kong International Talent Technology Group Co., Limited (a subsidiary of Guangzhou Talent Group), will take place in Guangzhou on 30–31 July 2026.

This targeted sci-tech exchange, mostly conducted in Mandarin, is designed to strengthen collaboration between Hong Kong and Guangzhou in innovation, technology transfer, and industrial synergy within the Greater Bay Area, with particular emphasis on the biomedical sector.

30 Jul:

    ·  High-speed rail to Guangzhou

    ·  Site visits to Science City (科学城) and Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (中新广州知识城) biomedical hubs

    ·  Project roadshow docking meeting with investors and officials

31 Jul:

    ·  Site visits to Guangzhou International Bio Island (广州国际生物岛)

    ·  Policy briefings and summary symposium

    ·  High-speed rail return to Hong Kong

 

Event Highlights

This activity provides HKU biomedical project teams with:

    ·  Project Pitching & Investor Access — Present your project in an 8-minute pitch + 2-minute Q&A during the dedicated project roadshow docking session, in front of Guangzhou officials and representatives from more than 20 leading investment institutions and funds, including Guangdong Yueke Financial Group (广东省粤科金融集团), GF Securities (广发证券), CICC (中金公司), Legend Capital (联想创投), and others — full list in the attached link. The session duration will be extended if needed to ensure sufficient time for presentations and Q&A for all participating projects.

    ·  On-site Visits to Core Biomedical Hubs — Explore Guangzhou’s “Two Cities, One Island” development layout, including the Huangpu District Planning Exhibition Hall (黄埔区规划展示馆), the New Drug Registration Service Centre (黄埔区新药申报服务中心), the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City bio-pharma industrial park (中新广州知识城生物医药产业园, home to leading companies such as BeiGene (百济神州), Akeso (康方生物), Thermo Fisher (赛默飞) and Hengrui (恒瑞)), and Guangzhou International Bio Island (广州国际生物岛).

    ·  Policy Briefings & Resource Docking — Receive direct briefings from Guangzhou Development Zone authorities on industrial support policies, project landing incentives, and talent measures, followed by a summary symposium with personalised needs matching.

    ·  Commercialisation & Partnership Opportunities — Build connections that may support project translation, funding, and landing in the Greater Bay Area’s dynamic innovation ecosystem.
