Startup: Raised less than US$20 million in funding. Scaleup: Valuation at least US$10 million.

Innovation: Must demonstrate impactful innovation, tech use.

Location: Desire to include Hong Kong/GBA in future plans.

Cyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP)Project: Must be digital tech-based. Applicants: Nominated by CUPP Co-organising Universities, aged 18-30.

Education: Current students or recent graduates from Co-organising Universities.

Language: Good command of English required.

Team: Composed of students/graduates, maximum 5 members

Incorporation: Projects incorporated in Beijing post-2015, or plans to.

Applicants: No dishonesty or criminal record, follow Chinese laws.

Project: Compliant, innovative with independent intellectual property rights.

Prize: Winners must pay Beijing social security and income tax.

Fields: Covers seven science and technology related major fields.

Growth: Operating over two years, minimum 10 employees, angel funding.

Project: Innovations with uncontested intellectual property rights, commercial potential.

Restrictions: Past participants or winners are ineligible, violations disqualified.
