From Classroom to Business: Your Entrepreneurial Path

TEC aims to support the university in innovating the future and fueling the economy, both locally and internationally, through our talented students and groundbreaking discoveries. Students are a vital part of the university community. We are delighted to host an info session to share some of our latest programmes designed specifically for students:

HKU Seed Programme: An early-stage startup support programme designed specifically for innovative or startup projects across any discipline or industry sector. Awardees will receive training and coaching opportunities, as well as support for participating in various startup competitions. There is also an opportunity to receive up to HKD 100,000 in funding.
The 12th Hong Kong University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition: One of the largest student competitions in Hong Kong. This year’s total prize money exceeds HKD 500,000. Award-winning projects will have the chance to represent Hong Kong in two prestigious national competitions—the “Challenge Cup” and the “China International College Students’ Innovation Competition”—as well as in three international invention exhibitions and competitions in Singapore (WoSG), Indonesia (IID), and Korea (SIIF).
TCS SPARK Program: Run by the Technology Commercialization Society (TCS) HKU, an HKU student society. This intensive 5-session training program is led by Dr. Rocky Law, who has over 20 years of experience in tech transfer and entrepreneurship. The program delivers practical, outcome-focused training to help you build viable, scalable startups from the ground up.

Whether you are new to the startup world or looking to deepen your understanding of entrepreneurship, this session will provide critical insights and practical strategies for assessing and capitalising on student startup programmes. Join us for an engaging session filled with expert insights and valuable networking opportunities!
