The MedTech Hackathon GBA 2026
The MedTech Hackathon GBA 2026 empowers researchers to translate innovative ideas into market-ready solutions. Multidisciplinary teams will benefit from expert training, mentorship, and access to investors, funding, and corporate partners through the Lean Launcher Training Program. Participants will also take part in offsite industry visits to Suzhou and Guangzhou to network and explore collaboration opportunities. Selected teams will have the chance to pitch their solutions at Hong Kong’s premier healthcare event, the Asian Summit of Global Health (ASGH), on May 11–12, 2026, presenting to a targeted audience of industry leaders.

Eligibility
Team Composition Requirements
- Each team must consist of a minimum of two members. At least one team member must be affiliated with HKU (Professor, Researcher, Alumni, or Staff).
- or participation in the ASGH & Lean Launcher component, each team must include at least one HKU researcher who holds a minimum qualification of a PhD.

Positioned as the preeminent event in Asia focusing on health innovation and investment, the Asia Summit on Global Health (ASGH) is a collaborative effort between the Hong Kong SAR Govt and Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).
