Entrepreneurship Academy 2025

 

Entrepreneurship Academy is a 10-week training program designed to enhance your entrepreneurial skills.

 

EA invites speakers from the industry, venture capitalists, startup founders and domain experts, to share their experiences on global trends, heated topics and strategies for market development. It is also a great opportunity to interact with like-minded people and get to know the resources available at HKU and the wider startup ecosystem in HK.

 

Entrepreneurship Academy is a non-degree programme offered by HKU Techno-Entrepreneurship Core. Participants who attend 7 or more physical sessions will receive certificates of attendance.

The session aims to inspire entrepreneurs to create ventures that reflect their true aspirations and foster meaningful impact.

In this session, HKU alumni David Lee, Co-Founder and CEO of Nex, shares his entrepreneurial journey — from campus life in HKU to founding Nex, the motion technology and entertainment company behind the award-winning Nex Playground – an award-winning active play system that uses AI and computer vision to turn any living room into an immersive active play experience.

 

David will talk about how his time at HKU shaped his entrepreneurial mindset, the early inspirations behind Nex, the challenges and breakthroughs of scaling a startup, and what it takes to build a successful consumer product from scratch. He’ll also share Nex’s exciting plans for growth — including expanding its presence in Hong Kong — and why now is the perfect time to join the journey.
