The global popularity of large language models demonstrates the remarkable ability of AI to understand and generate human natural language. If we consider ‘proteins’ as the ‘natural language’ of life, does building a protein language model imply that we could leverage AI to decode the laws of life? Could we address frontier issues in life sciences through the capabilities of AI-generated proteins?

Join us to explore the fusion of AI and life sciences transforming the future  This event is co-organized by BioMap, The University of Hong Kong Techno-Entrepreneurship, and The University of Hong Kong Musketeers Foundation Institute of Data Science.

Information sharing and panel discussions will be offered at the event, presented by Prof. Anderson Shum, Dr. Le Song, and Prof. Qingpeng Zhang. The topics of discussion include “Deciphering Life’s Code: AI & Protein Modeling” and “Large language models’ success suggests AI could decode life’s language: proteins.”
