It provides up to HK$600\,000 funding to support innovative ideas and early-stage start-ups development over a project period of 6 months. This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone in the strategic cooperation agreement signed between the two entities in 2022\, which aims to foster innovation and technological advancement in the region. \nUnveiled in May 2024\, the HKU Techno-Entrepreneurship Academy embodies a shared vision for creating a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship centred around education and incubation. The Academy will provide services and support to young technology talents and scientists\, nurturing projects in artificial intelligence\, healthcare\, new energy\, and new materials. With distinctive technology training programs and themed accelerators that leverage the regional innovation ecosystems and HKU’s international network\, TEA aims to serve as a new launchpad for disruptive innovations\, facilitating both inbound and outbound expansion of young start-ups. \nThe formal opening ceremony is scheduled for 4 September 2024\, featuring a day filled with celebration and learning. DESCRIPTION:To support the Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) ecosystem development in Hong Kong\, the 2024-25 Budget announced the allocation of $3 billion to implement a multi-pronged three-year AI Subsidy Scheme (“AISS”)\, including subsidising eligible users to make the best use of the computing power by Cyberport’s Artificial Intelligence Supercomputing Centre (“AISC”) so that they can optimise the use of computing power of the AISC and achieve more breakthroughs in scientific research.\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you are interested\, there will be an info sharing session held on the HKU campus. DESCRIPTION:LITE Lab@HKU invites new project partners for its Feb – Apr/May 2025 Cohort (due Feb 7)\n  \n  \nLITE Lab is pleased to announce the launch of Law\, Innovation\, Technology & Entrepreneurship Lab at the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law 6th Postgraduate Cohort\, and once again invite tech startups\, innovative companies\, industry associations\, and professional service firms to be our LITE Lab@HKU project partners to co-design legal\, regulatory and/or policy research projects during the Feb – Apr/May 2025 semester. \n  \nLITE Lab@HKU is an award-winning interdisciplinary and experiential programme at the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law to foster law\, innovation\, technology and entrepreneurship (LITE)\, including the use of GenAI in the students’ work process. Students spend 9-10 hours per week working largely independently and in groups on their agreed-upon research project legal\, regulatory and/or policy deliverables\, with regular check-ins with their project partners. DESCRIPTION:Cyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP) 2025\n  \nCyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP) is a FinTech focused entrepreneurship programme with boot camp\, mentorship and competition that aiming at nurturing young FinTech talents for Hong Kong since 2015.
