Dr Marvin Chi Ma is the Founder of HK iBone Healthcare and Co-founder of HK Bone’s Technology. He holds a PhD in Orthopedics and a Master’s in Computer Vision from HKU, and completed postdoctoral training at Peking Union Medical College Hospital, focusing on digital orthopedics, AI-empowered diagnostics, and next-generation implants.
HK Bone’s Technology developed the first AI-assisted bone quality assessment and surgical planning systems, achieving 5 NMPA licenses and adoption in nearly 1,000 hospitals. The company was recognized in Forbes Asia’s “100 to Watch” and has raised over ten million USD from Sequoia China, MiraclePlus, HKX, and others. iBone Healthcare developed the world’s first mechanically matched PEEK artificial prosthesis and completed 5-year clinical follow-up, raising nearly ten million USD.
He is a recipient of the Stanford Professor Shoucheng Zhang Scholarship (GASA Academy) and a mentor at the MiraclePlus Startup School. His recognitions include Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 (2022), 36Kr 36 Under 36 (2022), Deloitte Hong Kong Fast 20 & Rising Star (2021), and Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Sequoia China Intelligent Healthcare Accelerator (2022).
