Entrepreneurship Academy (EA) is a 10-week public lecture series that brings together venture capitalists, startup founders, industry leaders, and domain experts to share their insights on entrepreneurship, emerging technologies, market trends, fundraising, and startup growth.

The inaugural lecture of the HKU Entrepreneurship Academy 2026 features Dr. Qi Lu, Founder and CEO of MiraclePlus. This session examines why we are entering the era of the researcher founder, where breakthrough research is increasingly being translated into high-impact ventures. Drawing on practical experience and real-world examples, participants will gain insights into commercialising research, assessing market opportunities, building founding teams, attracting investment, and successfully transforming innovations from the lab into startups.
